As I said before, frozen waterfalls are pure magic to me. Surprisingly, it doesn’t happen that often here in Southern Sweden that the waterfalls are as frozen as this one was. And not only because we barley have waterfalls in the South. It stayed freezing cold for a good amount of days which allowed the water to freeze and form those beautiful icicles. It’s hard to believe that all the ice was gone a couple of days later. Luckily, I went there before the melting started! Sometimes you are lucky in Landscape Photography and are at the right place at the right time. I need to say, in order to get to this specific place, I had to crawl on ice for a few meters. And hearing the ice cracking underneath me isn’t a great feeling or something you want to hear. I didn’t know how thick or thin the ice was so I do not recommend doing something like that, especially not when you’re alone. Everything went well and it resulted in the image above. What a great way of saying Goodbye to winter and get ready for spring and summer!
